The research network „Fluidity: Materials in Motion“, which is funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG), explores processual materials and fluid phenomena from an art historical and cultural studies’ point of view. In their studies, the eight members of the network investigate the aesthetic, imaginary, and epistemic dimensions and potentials of materials in flux, aiming to develop a material literacy of the fluid.
